by Phizzy ini spent decades in the religion, i was born in, so my world view, my education, my social skills, all were dictated by and controlled by the "religion".. i feel that when i left i was immature in many ways, i had never faced my own mortality, i knew nothing of the reality of evolution, i had never voted in an election, i had never donated blood, i had never confronted the reality of the bibles status etc etc etc.. it was like a child walking off in to the blue yonder, no knowledge, no experience.. the main problem was, i had never really made my own decisions, i had never had to consider all the evidence and then decide for myself.. it was frightening and yet exilarating at the same time, but i was woefully equipped for the real world.. how did you feel ?

Hi,
My main worry was that, the witnesses said that money was bad, unless you were giving it to them, lol. Any attempts to build my bank balance, in my subconscious mind were seen as living in this system, total crap, I am working to eradicate this mentality.

i am thinkiing of getting reassociated with a long lost uncle who made me redundant from a family business which caused my family a lot of financial turmoil, whilst keeping on a scumbag lowlife bad educated twat, who happened to be the son of a director.. however after a lot of thought, i have decided to introduce my three children to him and my aunt, the witnesses have done a lot worse to me, and they are family, any suggestions!.

I am thinkiing of getting reassociated with a long lost uncle who made me redundant from a family business which caused my family a lot of financial turmoil, whilst keeping on a scumbag lowlife bad educated twat, who happened to be the son of a director.
However after a lot of thought, I have decided to introduce my three children to him and my aunt, the witnesses have done a lot worse to me, and they are family, any suggestions!

I think the Doctor will protect humanity far better that God
by Star tiger inmy wife has converted me into the cult of dr who, and he seems to be much more friendly to humanity, even though he was complicite in the destruction of his home planet gallifray, lol, a non judgemental superior being that cares for lesser life forms such as ourselves.. last saturday me, the wife and kids were total enamoured by the love and friendship of geeks, their was no judgement, homosexual or racial, things were really nice, my three kids sat for five hours, with breaks, and all were utterly enthralled by the proceedings, and as previously only a driver to these events i have been totally converted into the cult!.
by the way there are no contrary ways to behave against our natural humanity, everyone is equal, what a lovely place to be!.
looking at my kids at the time the were totally enchanted by the proceedings, not like when i remember my upbringing with the boring and utterly pointless conventions!

It was never about God but acceptance from my dad
by Star tiger ini believe this was the reason i kept returning to the witnesses after being nearly a born in, my dad was an ex royal marine and was and is still my hero, what he said was right and in a good way most things i have followed have become good, but this witness thing i belive never made him truely happy.. it was when i was particulary unhappy, that i went on amazon and found an unbiased book crisis of conscious that i read, and with a sense of worry that i gave it to him, and thankfully all his previous attitudes have disappeared and now all the family are out of the truth!.
my only worry is that he still belives in the authority of the bible something that after numerous searches into the old testament and greek scritures i find even more unbeliveble, although i don't try to mich to dissuade him as now it's his personal religion!.

Hi,
I have often been told I have rich internal life, that means I think too much, is it a blessing or curse, I'm not sure, it seems I'm more of a morlock than an Eloy, sure I'm none too pretty, but I think in the long term things will probably work out, much better to be a free thinker than a drone!
